breath and body (2023)

7′; 4 voices (soprano, tenor, baritone, bass) and double bass

In breath and body, the body of the double bass gives breath, and life, into the voices of the vocalists. Stated another way, the breath from the double bass is transferred to the bodies of the vocalists. This work aims to explore the more fragile side of sonic bodies, whereby the collective whole becomes strengthened through the goal of symbiosis.
